Golden secrets or Information hierarchies The flow of information is not as free as some people think, it is hierarchial and distinct paths exist from level to level. But no barrier is impenetrable, data has osmotic properties that vary according to the character of the separating membrane, something will always come through. In this way data is a lot like fish, after 2 or 3 days the faint odor of fish will be in everything in the refrigerator. The next big catch will be mackerel, maybe herring, but I am hoping mackerel. If I haul in a bunch of herring I will head for the cannery, if I haul in bunch of mackerel I am heading to deeper water.
