The charts seem to suggest we're closer to a top - but I'll suspend my judgment for the time being.

I don't think we are there yet. But look out for the 31 level. When (not if) we breach that on the downside, there will be enough fear to set up another brief rally. And in keeping with the progress of the bear-market, that rally will top out somewhat lower than the top of this one, i.e. 36/37. And then... rinse and repeat!
