I know nothing about Harry potter but thought you had an interesting Flame War going and that you had to don your asbestos, err, nomex underwear. Lowering my shields and conducting a quick test indicated that was not the case. If you used references to Monty Python, Dr Who, Electric Kool Aid and other activities in SF in the 60s, I would be more up to speed. Want to compare Ignore lists? PM on the way. Any good SI posts to support you're a$$ comment? May lower shields again. BTW, having followed Warren Buffet for a number of years, I feel that his comment on not understanding tech companies was not understood. He took a course (s) from Ben Graham, one of the authors of "Security Analysis". He prefers the 1934 edition, which is still available at better bookstores along with the current (Fifth) edition. The main point was to buy $1 of assets for 40 cents to provide a margin of safety. He is a good bridge player and one of his partners is a nerd from Seattle, who certainly tech. I think what WB meant was he could not properly evaluate patents, etc. One major item in tech was the integrated circuit OP AMP first designed by Bob Widlar. The 709 and later the 741 OP AMP took off like wildfire but little value accrued to him or his company, since the price dropped from about $40 for one to less than $1 for a package containing 4 in a very short time. Things just change too fast in tech, hard to figure out what tech is really worth and then of course, the stock option question. I think I would prefer stock options vice a big cash bonus. Cash is gone, stock going up is what I want. You will note that Rajala is not on my ignore list, since I find his occasional posts interesting. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of the story about the "hefty" date and the Pinto. There used to a lot of billboards showing a crystal ball and the words "there is a Ford in your future" neglecting to add that it would be small, slow and somewhat of a ball of fire.
