There is no "right price". The market determines salaries. If they are paying executives more, it is because the market has gotten tighter in people willing to work in corporate suites, with competition from Wall Street, the professions, small and mid- size businesses, and start- up ventures. Also, the top heavy salaries of guys like Michael Eisner skews the average. I would bet that the median salary for CEOs has not risen nearly so much........
