I heard this voiced first from one of the conservative panel members on the "McLaughlin Group" last Friday, then read similar this past week in a mainstream large-city newspaper. Probably N.Y. Times or WSJ, but I can't recall for sure.

Re: Corporate crime/greed. I say we put all the corporate crooks in striped suits behind bars. I don't care whether they're Democrat, Republican or Libertarian. Problem is, the Justice Department, SEC ain't gonna prosecute 99 percent of these stock-price swindlers.

And if they did, most of the right-wingers on this board would scream bloody murder because government was interfering with Big Business and the "natural laws of capitalism."

Hogwash. If you pocketed millions while you were touting a sinking ship, you ought to spend several years in prison.
