I was thinking about Mike's thirds way of doing things.

If you consider John Templeton's admission that one-third of the time he is wrong about what he does, then it makes sense to only invest a third at a time since it improves your chances of being correct in your timing.

I tend to plunge in too heavily when I become convinced that something is a good idea.
