Sensitivity is a two way street. You get what you deserve, usually. If you come on telling people their egos blot out your wonderful truth, and that their worlds are dark miserable places (when the people you are aiming that at are probably experiencing a far different reality) I would think ridicule would be a mild response. But that's me. Si is the place where people get called Demolib pinheads, and crude names with sexual innuendo- I'm not sure it is the place to bitch about a lack of sensitivity. But that's me. Some people enjoy spitting into the wind.

Third Party Gods or Not Sufficient Faith Well said Karen. I would venture further, there are no established constructs in this new territory. Some vital quality that serves people well out there is completely lost in the translation to TCP/IP and at the same time many new factors are added that eliminate characteristics that people rely on. The most important quality that is added is the digital voice, your vocal range reflects your memetic connection to cyberspace. People lose their physical characteristics and the cues that let them aggregate comfortably. Digital vision is also a lot clearer, as Mr. Dither found out, his initial display of arrogance was rather vulgar. Be careful walking around here, you just might step on a black hole, I have seen several of them. They spit up seeds and divide so there are quite a few of them, they are attracted to the light.
