Funny... I was just wondering myself whether you were some kind of research assistant for Noam Chomsky... I'm just underwhelmed with all of this "touchy-feely" garbage you seem to espouse related to how the US should handle it's foreign affairs. Just face some facts, will ya? Sure there are problems with the US... We ain't perfect. But my god.. The US is the most prosperous nation on the planet for a very good reason. We're far more multi-cultural than any other nation on the planet I can think of (outside of perhaps Canada), readily absorbing cuisine, religions, and artwork from every culture on the planet. The fact is that we've been successful in a way that few other nations have been. We're the model of how various cultures can blend together into one identity, potentially serving as a model for the time when the world gets it act together and unites as one planet, rather than one nation. But you know what else? People are just going to hate us because they perceive that our success only came as a result of their failure.. They think we somehow exploited them unfairly, when they are exploiting one another on a daily basis. They think we owe them some level of prosperity... I mean, just think.. the Kuwaiti people, 10 years after we saved their butts from Iraq, believes the WTC attack was justified and believe that liberating Afghanistan was not... If that doesn't make you think about how screwed up the world can be outside of the US, then I don't know what will.. They only like us because we generally pay in cash... Hawk
