In 1976, my father drove past an AMC dealership and asked me what I thought of the new "Pacer". I told him, "Do you want to be driving around in a bubble?"

...I take pride in the fact I helped save him on that day!

One of the best decision he ever made was not to get caught in the hype and buy one of those.

The commercialization of that particular model was intense.
