Challo was it you that was seeing an Inverse Head and Shoulders on the NDX?

Some comments from a newsletter tonight.

If you step back and look at the overall structure, we now have a head-and-shoulders bottoming-type pattern forming on the Nasdaq 100 and today’s low was an almost perfectly symmetrical right shoulder. If the market does rally from here and moves back up and takes out today’s highs, then we may be in store for a big rally. But if the selling does continue here we’re very much in jeopardy of testing the lows again, at around 1330-40. If that important support zone doesn’t hold, the current seven-week declining phase could very well extended itself further.

As I have indicated several times in my recent market comments & analysis, we’re by no means out of the woods yet and the afternoon sell-off indicated just how vulnerable the market still is.

if you deal directly with profunds, there is no commission and you move freely for as many times as you like. except it can only be end of day. better bet is rydex - they trade twice a day. 10:30 and 3:30.

I have funds at Profunds. Not in an IRA, but I could if I wanted. As for commissions... there are none. THeir funds are no load and you can switch them on a daily basis. You just have to call them or switch online by 2:30 pm central. They have funds exactly like the Rydex where you can be long or short 200% of the NDX. THe only stipulation. You must fund your account with $15k. Once it's funded w/ $15k, you can do anything you want with the money. I.e. Move the money around every single day. You can even make a w/drawal for 1/2 the money if you want(I think) as long as you originally funded it with $15k. Now if you don't have $15k you can buy their funds from some brokerages. I did see some that you can invest in with as little as $1000. However, if you go the broker way , there are some hefty commissions(I looked into it).

But if you go directly through Profunds, the minimum is $15k, but there are absolutely no fees. No loads, no switching fees, no fees to get out, nothing. THe only fee I've ever paod them was the fee to wire me back some of my cash (which I believe was $10).

As for not shorting in an IRA. CAn't you trade the eminis in an IRA? I've never done it, but I do know that the brokerage I use has IRA as an account type on the application... and all they do is Futures. I'll have to ask them, but at this time, I don;t think I'm willing to risk my IRA on it... yet
