John. Interesting piece thanks for posting it.

His comments on the oil service stocks are consistent with the judgement of the market. The OSX index is up over 50% since it put in a bottom last October.

By contrast, the XNG (heavily loaded with natural gas producers) has yet to confirm it's cyclical low. The mild winter and very large amount of gas in storage vs recent years

has kept the XNG weak while the OSX has already had a significant rally. Here's a 20 wk comparison chart of the two indices vs the S&P 500:

As a result, NG equities got so low that we've seen some bargain hunting by value players, the past few weeks.

Still, once the last of heating season is behind us, I'll be watching for a test of the late January low in the XNG. At this point it's too early to say with any confidence whether that will be a higher low or a lower low. Just have to wait and see what Mr Market gives us.
