5:45PM Genesis Microchip maintains Q4 revenue guidance (GNSS) 41 +0.91: Company maintains guidance for Q4 (Mar), expecting revenues to be about $55 mln (consensus $50.6 mln). Company notes that this Q4 result would target FY02 revenues in excess of $160 mln (consensus $158 mln).

5:15PM Finisar matches estimates (FNSR) 7.49 -0.29: Reports Q3 (Jan) loss of $0.05 per share, in line with the Multex consensus of ($0.05); revenues fell 44.7% year/year to $35.8 mln vs the $36.5 mln consensus; comapany says its "optics business was up 10% on a sequential basis in the third quarter. Recent order trends seem to point to at least a similar increase for the upcoming fourth quarter."

4:40PM PUMATECH beats Q2 EPS estimate, misses on sales (PUMA) 1.49 +0.02: Co reports Q2 pro forma loss of $0.10, $0.01 better than the Multex consensus; sales came inat $6.3 mln, short of the consensus of $6.5 mln. No formal guidance was given.
