what was the "original question"?

anyways I was just curios as of the performance of those computers with switch off to those that are not designed to use HT to begin with. While I did phrase the question in a joking manner I really did not mean anything bad by it.

I did not mean to imply that intel is doing amd-like evil things but rather was curious as of an improvement relative to non-ht computers. For all I know ht systems may perform better even with a switch off which should count for few extra points.

It would help for folks to lighten up a bit here. Not all of the questions are loaded with h-boms, you know :-))
