It resonates with me, a bit. Last year the girls in my son's 5th grade class organized the systematic ostracism of one girl, one who had previously been a close friend to several of them. They had written "hate contracts" and a detailed code of conduct, including provisions for deceiving adults. It's a very small school, and the girl went through a pretty hard time. My son's comment was "girls are evil", and I found it hard to disagree with him.

What amazes me is that the psychobabble community didn't discover "relational aggression" until the 1990's. I suppose that any sort of aggression not directly attributable to males simply didn't fit the acceptable paradigm.
