More on the Grammys....

It looked like Billy Joel may have swallowed Elton John. Cheryl Crowe (who I like)aught to get a new fashion designer. Clappy, you nailed it on Dylan, it was that pencil mustache that looked strange - it's ironic he can still make people feel edgy (for different reasons now).

I did think the show itself was a better production. I would rather see more artists perform than to speak (some of these folks are not the sharpest knives in the drawer).

Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson?...that's a Michigan boy gone Hollywood...he's probably not having any fun at all! <gg>.

For a night of shallow flashy stuff, with some good music mixed in, it wasn't too bad. Hey, it's an award show already...what do you expect?

I don't think I would make a good entertainment reporter like Clappy and Rhoze...I miss to much stuff.

Dylan is like that...either very good or very bad. I've seen him several times, and I think 1 out of three was good. Saw him with the Dead, and he absolutely did his inadvertent best to make them look bad; he was drunk on his ass. (That was my daughter's first concert...5 months en- utero, he said proudly).

Something about Bob's thin mustache makes me itch too.
With the make-up he almost appears to be some sort of silent film scarey villian, walking dead, possessed devil dude that could reach into your soul and pull it out and walk away laughing as you gasp with fear, feeling his cold hand enter your chest cavity in search of it.

LOL clappy -

dylan reminded me of vincent price!!

apologizer-

yours and everyone's comments on dylan
were right on... and interesting too.

nothing to get hung about.

i see the beauty in him and i see the
evil. looking at him is like looking
in a mirror. especially for vincent price. <G>
it's a glimpse of the "self". when you can
do it without itching, without even a flinch,
you've accepted the universe as it is and
it's time to write a song.

Sometimes We Cry
by Van Morrison

Sometimes we know, sometimes we don't
Sometimes we give, sometimes we won't
Sometimes we're strong, sometimes we're wrong
Sometimes we cry
Sometimes it's bad when the going gets tough
When we look in the mirror and we want to give up
Sometimes we don't even think we'll try
Sometimes we cry

Well we're gonna have to sit down and think it right through
If we're only human what more can we do
The only thing to do is eat humble pie
Sometimes we cry

'Fore they put me in a jacket, and they take me away
I'm not gonna fake it like Johnnie Ray
Sometimes we live, sometimes we die
Sometimes we cry

Sometimes we can't see anything straight
Sometimes everybody is on the make
Sometimes it's lonely on the lost highway
Sometimes we cry, sometimes we cry

Gonna put me in a jacket, and take me away
I'm not gonna fake it like Johnnie Ray
Sometimes we live, sometimes we die
Sometimes we cry, sometimes we cry

Sometimes we live, sometimes we die
Sometimes we cry, sometimes we cry

here's a comment i heard on 60 minutes
this weekend:

the only thing i can say for sure about living,
that's true for every single one of us...

it's an incredible act of bravery.
