EMLX, BRCD, EMC, QLGC - storage sector should bounce anytime. The market usually doesn't let anything get too cheap for long.

Dave, It really depends upon your definition of cheap. In a slow growth environment, one can make an argument that these stocks are way overvalued.

We may just have had a major major spending bubble ahead of Y2K in almost all tech sectors.

LOL! Cheap! Oh boy! Single Digits Beckon EMC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EMC EMC said things aren't so hot last night at a Roberston Stephens conference, confirming once again that all is not well in storage-land.

When you combine that with the Hitachi HIT disappointment last night and what I am hearing about IBM IBM , you have a sense that this once-hot area has completely fizzled.

What's the matter with storage according to EMC? How about everything: pricing is bad, demand is bad, the products don't seem to excite.

This is quite a change from a year ago when storage was red-hot. In fact, it is even a change from October-December, when storage had picked up.

To me it means that EMC is headed into the single digits. Plan accordingly.

I am really surprised how weak the storage sector is

I am surprised at how long it has managed to stay up.

Pray tell on what rational basis do you see value here?
If you are buying for some sort of technical bounce that is another thing.

You sound as if there is value here.
There is fools gold here, and I expect EMLX BRCD etc to dive on a warning just like GNSS did today.

NTAP is a total joke.
What kind of PE does that thing have?
