No doubt about that. I'm in my early thirties and constantly worrying about not having enough saved for retirement. I'm probably going to end up OK, but being complacent now will come to haunt me later IMO.

I've probably said this enough times to make everyone sick of hearing me, but us boomers will be fine. Even the oldest among us (I'm somewhere in the earlier range) know that the market still gives a 10%/year average return, and we're not taking things out at this point. No one of my generation (at least those with whom I talk) is doing that, or has plans to in the near future.

We also know that we've probably got another 20-30 years ahead of us. We'll be strong enough in Congressional representation to make sure our grandkids really pay through the nose to keep us going!

See? No worries!
