I think that HWP-CPQ vote is on the same date as the next Fed meeting, Mar 19. Don't know how a busted merger may impact the market.

YES!
Look at QQQ open interest puts and calls for March.
Then look at April.
www.cboe.com
April is a total blank slate.
Somehow - someway they need to prop this sucker up for 2 more weeks.

It will not be pretty, but I bet they do it (as best they can).

Then becasue there is virtually no open interst on the QQQ's in April. Thay can tank us HUGE, cover at the bottom then soar us back, without having to worry about any calls being in the money.

Sideways (more or less) for two weeks.
Then mammoth plunge is my call.
Followed by ENORMOUS rally.

If they can not prop this sucker up now, delta hedging kicks in and it will not be pretty for the longs this expiry either.
