Note that the number is 150,000 and not 1.5 million.

I did catch that....though I am still hoping that India will switch over to the rest of the worlds numbering system. Probably about the same time we go metric <g>....

I still think the order is pretty good news. There have been some recent articles talking about the success that MTNL has been having with their GSM systems in Delhi and Mumbai. The order for more WLL systems shows that they have no plans on abandoning the current CDMA users.

Now we just need to see some progress from Tata. They own the rights to a bunch of WLL circles....but I have heard very little about their plans.
