Anorexia and bulimia both wreak havoc on the ability to carry children to term too, unfortunately.

What about the social effects? You mean not having a balanced social life? (get the gymnastics pun?)

I agree with you. I watch the Olympic gymnasts with fascination, but always feel i'm seeing something, particularly in the cases of the young girls, that isn't healthy for them.
