I hadn't realized you could buy puts on KMP.

I was going to do so, and then for the first time in a long time my broker's online service went down!

I mean, like ten minutes ago.

I don't like to deal with them on the phone because the commissions are double and also they have been hiring a lot of yo-yos to take care of the phone lines. One of them got the expiration date on a put wrong by TWO years.

I finally got some puts on KMP--happily at a much lower price than if I had managed to buy yesterday.

Just 10 of the kmpux, the September $22.50 strike.

Those bastards who make the markets on those things are nearly as bad as the OTC-BB "brokerers"; I had a limit order in at 90 cents when the asked was 90 cents and it wouldn't fill. I decided the hell with it and changed it to a market order and after some delay it filled--at 95 cents. Somebody got my 50 bucks.

Well I see the ask is now up to dollar.

Just an outright gamble. Hoping KMP will tank like Enron over the next six months. If not, I will have a tax deduction I guess.

More on KMP: I overlooked this in my quick look at the WSJ this morning.
