To bad that European-Americans (not comfortable with that term) are sensitive. The recognition should start with taking Christopher Columbus off his pedestal of being such a sharp navigator, founder of a new world, and conqueror for a G-d. Note the similarities of other, more recent storylines, about this or that land being a wasteland, inhabited by disease ridden reprobates and wanting of being saved (economically or otherwise).
