Bulls should be hoping for a Dow smash. That would set us up for a broad based and sustained rally IMHO. Very similar to the nifty-fifty back in the early 1970s. When they finally got smashed, a huge rally followed quickly.

jj, there is a big disparity in the amount of puts and calls on the DJX. I'm looking for a drop to possibly 9850-9900 before expiration (middle BB on the daily, although support is at 9800). I don't think it will be that easy to drop it too far before expiration, as the average value of the futures at expiration is 9800-9850, so that level will be defended with vigor until it is useless.

I'm thinking the big drop may happen after expiration. By then I could be re-loaded and ready for the other shoe to drop.
