He most likely could have stopped them if he tried.
the cases laughably dissimilar.
If you were writing from London the similarity would be obvious. The two leaders when confronted with people they found to be a deadly threat to society sought a final solution.

I think it was Picasso who said something like "you must be able to see all sides at once to truly see".
