I did see that review, thank you, and it was partly the reason why I challenged the slant of the other review. The first one seems to be looking to weigh up the pros (stability, some perf gain) and cons (price/performance) of the new Xeons. The second seems to me to be taking strange measurements (server with only 15 users) and silly averages (averaging perf gains across the "number of connected users" categories, rather than looking at full-load performance). When I see figures presented in that way I have to doubt the impartiality of the reviewers.
