you are as full of cow dung as anything I have ever seen.

You have to ignore the findings of many scientists about life and you also have to ignore God's sovereignty in creation.

Your sorry explanation also just threw you into the PRO- partial birth abortion crowd...proud??

So...babies come out alive and crying? or in pieces...which is it?...there is no middle ground.

BTW, what did you think of the 5 week old fingers of the child that was aborted....sort of makes me wonder if he/she was going to be a surgeon, or a steel worker, or a nurse, or a mother who does not kill their children.

>>In fact, I don't believe it is INDEPENDENT life until it can survive without the host mother's life support system.

Whenever that moment of the fetus' development arrives, I believe it can scientifically, morally & realistically be called an independent life. Until then it is part of her private domain--her body.

That really cannot withstand analysis. Using that "I don't believe it is INDEPENDENT life until it can survive without the host mother's life support system" standard, by analogy, any infant could be left to die at a parent's whim.

A woman-host could argue she doesn't want some "parasite" hanging off her breasts and that by definition of its constant needs it's not a independent life.

Besides that, your terminology "host" is repugnant, as it suggests, as above, that the baby is a parasite.

>>Until the Supreme Court of the U.S. says it is a life from day one of conception.....it is not.

The Supreme Court had decreed that black slaves were property. Did the Supreme Court's decree make blacks any less human?

I assume there must be better arguments in favor of abortion, but the host-parasite-independent life argument isn't one of them.

Hi Ann,

Re: In fact, I don't believe it is INDEPENDENT life until it can survive without the host mother's life support system.

I'm reminded of the Jewish mother, who when asked about when life begins for the fetus she replied "just as soon as it graduates from med school."

Silly season is upon us again with the Bushistas leading us into a dozen new wars, the business culture dying of corruption and the only thing on the mind of the 'dirty old man' crowd is how to control women.....
