Bush administration launches new move to target Iraqi leader

WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 — The Bush administration said Thursday that it was amassing war crimes evidence against Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, another sign that the White House was determined to move against Iraq. The campaign follows a parallel move by President Bush’s closest ally in the war on terrorism, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who said the threat posed by Iraq’s development of weapons of mass destruction “has to be dealt with.”
