Ah, yes, warnings season is upon us.

Upbeat Economic Data Fails To Sustain Advance

Thursday, February 28: Stocks dipped into the red in
late-afternoon trading, as downbeat guidance from Genesis Microchip, Gateway
and Riverstone Networks ate into earlier gains that followed bullish
economic data suggesting that the economy is recovering. Treasury bonds
slid.

* The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 20.36 to 1731.52, while the Dow Jones
Industrial Average lost 21.45 to 10106.13. The S&P 500 Index shed 3.16 to
1106.73. The 10-year Treasury note was down 12/32, yielding 4.88%
