When you say "They can tank us HUGE" you are talking about THE NAZDAQ In the space of three years I watched THE NAZDAQ climb ~400% for no rational reason. Don't know if Mish is right, but I do know this: if it can be pumped, it can be dumped.

Yes I understand fully well what the QQQ is. Why do you think MSFT EBAY CSCO were up today? what % of the QQQ is that. Add in KLAC and AMAT and what % is that. MSFT serves double duty as part of the DOW. Note that I did not say they would succeed in propping this Naz dog up. I said they would try. If they do not succeed it could be bloody. Am I carrying max pain to far? Maybe yes maybe no. We had a suspicious rally if you would on very light volume to get to max pain last expiry week, but that rally fizzled on Fri. They will try and rally INTC tomorrow as well as the guns above. Will they succeed? Right now with sellers at every turn it seems doubtful. They must have so much MSFT and KLAC right now that they want to puke. Based on observations it appears that delta heading has already kicked in on some stocks and they are defending the rest one by one. If I really believed we would hit max pain this month I would buy calls. I am not buying calls here. Nonetheless it seems strange that the VIX/VXN is this low after all this selling. I do not know what to make of this mess but it is not pretty. Delta hedging sent us rocking up in Oct ond Nov and it could send us reeling now. I watch far more than Maz Pain. I also watch the TICK and the TRIN as well as other things. In spite of the severity of this decline we have not had a single -1000 tick count. That to me is simply amazing. No fear anywhere. Until we see a string of -1000's I do not think we will bottom. At some point fear will kick in but I do not know when that will be. M
