Unskilled immigrants?

I haven't yet learned the particulars of some of the members of this trade assn's immigration 15-10 years ago (BTW: they are all US citizens now) ..

But from another interview/article I wrote about the association's newly hired marketing/association manager who's handing much of the negotiation with vendors, he immigrated on education Visa first to California. After one year, joined major national convenience store company in Texas, which was necessary to extend the visa, I think...

He worked as as clerk and continued his education at a university there. When he received his degree, the company promoted him. He said that after three years on a work?/visa, -- sponsored, seems to me, by the employer -- one is eligible to apply for US citizenship.

What is H1-B? What I'm describing above?

And why do you believe 'immigration' is to the point where 'we' need to 'really try and limit' the [sic] amount of unskilled immigrants 'we' absorb?'

The 'place' is too crowded? The USA?

I don't believe that 'unskilled immgrants' can acquire visas.

Am I mistaken?

Requires acceptance by educational facility, marriage to US citizen, or sponsorship by and employer.

Correct?
