"When I said the Hammer hadn't taped out, it hadn't taped out"

Ok, but you were still questioning whether it taped out or not up to the point where first silicon was available.

"Where did I say the 8000 hadn't taped out?"

Oh, that's right. What you claimed was it was going to sample in Q402. So you were close, it's sampling now so you only missed by 3 quarters...

"And you DODGED the question I put to Blow Joe - why would a a single hamster need a chip set when he claimed Dooley Hammie would not even need a chip set?"

You are correct, I dodged that question because I didn't want to embarrass you. Since this was in reply to wanna_bmw's post that he couldn't wait to see VIA's and SiS's chipsets for 4 and 8 way Hammers, I thought his point was clear. Obviously, you missed the point. What he was saying, and it is clear from the context, is since AMD is building in the support for SMP on the chips that support it, no additional chipset support is required. So a chipset that supports a single processor can be used to support a multi-processor system.
