I'm not Bush, of course, and he always surprises me with a resourcefulness that I never thought of. Guess I've spent too much time watching Bob Dole and Trent Lott. But as for me, I'd embargo funds: Defund the Left, shut down the welfare state, freeze enforcement on every regulatory obscenity that caused the Clinton Recession. Let 'em go to court. Make it take a year, at least. The courts-as Joe Stalin might have observed-have far fewer divisions than the President. Of course, I digress. The debt limit bill is not and never has been about debt. It's a magnet for every piece of trash legislation that has been building up in Congress since the last debt limit vote. It gives our boys another chance to walk all over Puff's phony public image-a neat little dance they've learned so well in just a year...
