I would agree with you that it's a better deal to get rid of the people at the top only if they had screwed up when everyone else was doing well. But EVERYONE screwed up and didn't see the recession coming. So the only thing we have to go on is how did the people at the top handle it once they figured out that we were in a recession. By all measures, Chambers and company have handle things beautifully, whereas their peers (Roth and McGinn) bungled everything. So your argument still doesn't hold water with me.
