"If anyone can offer accurate information about the Muslim 'heaven' I'd be genuinely interested, especially in knowing the place of women in it."

The Quran describes heaven in Earthly terms. The verbiage indicates that the pleasure and rewards one might seek on Earth would be far, far surpassed for the righteous entering heaven without the embarrassing side effects we see here on earth (no hang overs and such). There is a Christian doctrine that says "for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see." The meaning is that parable descriptions require a special kind of understanding and consideration. When challenged on their literal applications they tend to lose meaning. We live in a temporal world. We can interpret the ideals of heaven according to temporal (problematic) situations we face on a daily basis. The ideas presented in the Quran reveal an existence of complete satisfaction, one with out needs that can't be completely satisfied and enjoyed with no side effects. When you apply envy, jealousy, abuse, injustice etc. to the senario of course it breaks down.

There are many practicing Muslims who are unable or unwilling to take an abstract interpretation and who are compulsively extreme in religion. So they behave like barbarians in search of booty. This is not the intent of the religion and moderate sensible people who know Islam know this.

Heaven? None of us has been there but obviously if such a place exists it is a paradise beyond imagination. It is pointless to debate the details beyond that.

If you are really curious though just do a search on Islam and Paradise.

I believe that although Jews don't have the Christian sort of heaven or the sexy Muslim one (sexy for the males), the saved do get to live in the glory of God.
You obviously don't know my outlaws!

If anyone can offer accurate information about the Muslim 'heaven' I'd be genuinely interested, especially in knowing the place of women in it.
You sure?

As for your question, I believe the heavens are segregated.
