Thanks. This has been an interesting disucssion all around. Concentrating on ideas an issues and not bashing individuals. A refreshing change from what sometimes happens on SI.

My guess is that we would get back to a difference at the basic level which is whether it's a good thing to have social limits on economic behavior.

I think it is a good idea to limit business to keep them from stealing from people or directly and unjustly causing great harm to people, or setting themselves up as the local government, and to make sure they follow their contracts and maybe a few other things, but if you get much beyond that I think you usually do more harm then good.
