, in a representative democratic republic such as ours, the reps. must also be mindful of the best interests of our nation..... You are kidding, right? The law is a hard task master. You mean the law that says you should go on fishing trips to find a lie about sex to use to wipe the smirk off the face of a president you hate? They didn't know it would be so unpopular, of course. That was a surprise and mortification for them.

I was awake at a ridiculous hour this morning. There are five fire trucks, a police car, and an ambulance across the street. Not much bustle and no sign of smoke or flames. You'd think that five fire trucks would suggest at least smoke. Ah, they just turned off the spotlights that have been shining into my front window. Anyway, I turned on the TV just in time to catch the book show on CSPAN present a segment on "Mission: Impeachable" by K. Alan Snyder. It's written from the perspective of a Christian conservative, according to the author, and focuses on the House managers. Perhaps you're already familiar with it. The author interviewed each manager and apparently gave each a chapter. During the lecture, he made your point about how it was unpopular and against their interest. It looks like it might be worth a read by those who haven't yet had their fill of this. Karen
