TORONTO, March 22 /CNW/ - SAMSys Technologies Inc. (SMY:CDNX) (www.samsys.com) ("SAMSys") of Toronto, a provider of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader hardware announced today that the Company will provide audio access for a live web cast of the Annual General Meeting ("AGM") on Monday March 25th, 2002. The audio web cast will begin at 10:00am EST. To access the live web cast of the Company's AGM visit www.samsys.com and click on the web cast icon button located on the SAMSys home page. The web cast will be archived on SAMSys' website and available for replay. Scheduled for the SAMSys AGM are presentations by Cliff Horwitz, CEO of SAMSys, Anthony Lando, Executive Vice President and COO of BTG USA Inc., Chris Turner, RFID Consultant and Bill Davidson, CTO of SAMSys Also at the AGM will be a comprehensive product display of SAMSys' RFID reader technology. On February 27, 2002, SAMSys Technologies Inc. announced a proposed $8.8 million private placement to BTG plc and the creation of a joint venture to pursue opportunities in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) segment of the RFID marketplace. The SAMSys AGM will be held in the Governors General Suite at the Toronto Hilton Hotel in downtown Toronto, beginning at 10 am EST on March 25th.
