Therefore, you can take it that New Zealand and I bet a lot of other countries will be supporting the USA in exterminating Saddam Hussein and any other barbarian medieval murderers they find on their travels.

Hey, good for you, Maurice! I'm sure New Zealand and Great Britain will be supporting us openly, and lots of countries in the Middle East will be supporting us very quietly IF we convince them we will follow through this time. Of course, our friends in France will still be whining about our simplisme. Let'em.

I'm sure that you're right about the Iraqis. Heck, they surrendered to Italian camera crews the last time around, and the Iraqi army was stronger then. My big worry is what and whom will Saddam be able to blow up if he thinks he's going down? Can we get him fast enough to prevent it?

Now Irish Americans understand a bit more closely, thanks to the WTC attack, just what 'freedom fighting' bombings look like up close and personal. It's ugly and evil. I bet there is some rich irony in the rubble of the WTC.

It does look different when it happens to you or yours, doesn't it? As the BBC can attest. When Fatah or Hamas set off a car bomb in Jerusalem, they're "militants". But when the IRA sets off a car bomb in London, well then it's another story, those IRA are "terrorists". No kidding.

Hi Maurice Winn; Re: "There are 5 billion of us who do not aspire to Moslem madness, repression, cruelty and archaic chimpoid male dominance hierarchies who hack off Jewish heads [or Kiwi heads]. Half the Moslems don't go along with it either [maybe more]. We are not going to live under the threat of mayhem at some random time of terrorist choosing. We will come for them first.
So, all you Iraqi soldiers, get ready to surrender and immediately switch sides to a new, improved, Iraqi army with a well-off country based on civilisation instead of the barrel of Saddam's pistol [or Uday's].
"

The juxtaposition of these two paragraphs illustrates perfectly what is wrong with the idea of attacking Iraq.

Iraq has nothing whatsoever to do with the Islamic fundamentalists or Moslem madness, except that they are also enemies of the United States. Iraq appears to have had little to do with the WTC attack.

Iraq is one of the most secular regimes in the Middle East. If we knock it over, maybe then we'll eventually be left with a replacement that will be fundamentalist. At least with Afghanistan we were sure that the successor regime couldn't possibly be as much against us as the Taliban.
