I already thought of making a backup of the thread - of course it takes programming the net etc, dont need to sit and press "next 10 messages" -. Similar to get all my messages back with their identifiers (ego? who's talking ego here?;).

I suspect Jay has been doing it the other, much more efficient way i.e. keeping originals and the URLs in some HTML log file. Realizing this tiny fact was rather sobering to me - another dimension comes crashing in; -.

Note that URLs are same/actually identical! thing[*] as a ZIP file - lossless compression.

[*] what's a ZIP file? a header with a boot-strapped vocabulary of what's following, and the contents in speedcode as prescribed by the said vocabulary. And it works;
