I once had an ex-girlfriend who could not receive a phone call from me. She would either not hear it, or would be in the shower, or outside, etc. But (AMAZINGLY!) whenever one of our mutual friends called her, she was always home. I tested to see if the same effect happened in person. I would go to her house and knock on the door... nobody home. Her car would be in the driveway, and I swear I sometimes heard noises inside. But, something otherworldly was keeping us from communicating. SHRUG... I guess some things will always be mysterious.
