Cary remember this one on CYMI from Morgan Stanley on Jan 11?

8:55AM Cymer (CYMI) 32.12: Morgan Stanley says CYMI is possibly the best revenue andearnings power story this cycle with the beginning of the "golden age" of DUV lithography; firm ups price target to $50 from $35, but says that with earnings power of $4.00 or more, a $100 stock price target is possible.

Now today's on SLAB:

Silicon Labs: could be one of "greatest growth storiesof all time" in semi group (SLAB) 26.02: Morgan Stanley says that they "are more convinced then ever that SLAB will be viewed as one of the greatest growth stories of all time in the semi industry during the next several years." Believes SLAB has the potential to increase revenue by a factor of 10 during the next 5 years due to the co's strong mgmt team, technology leadership, and explosive growth opportunities in numerous wireless, wireline, and optical mkt segments; says $50 price target should have meaningful upside over time.

My opinion is simply that you do as a well with your due diligence and timing as any analyst. You tell me if SLAB is a winner and when to buy? I think it is over extended here but it worth watching.

If market conditions remain strong it could go as high as 37 again but I am not chasing it now.

Cary, re: SLAB
to me that one looks to pricey. Price/Sales = 16 !! I rather settle for MSCC, FCS, ANAD in the mixed signal sector or MTLC, AGRa or TXCC and IDTI in opto & networking.. Or you could buy their japanese competitors like New Japan Radio, Sanken Electric, Oki electric, Toshiba or Sumitomo electric..

On SLAB -
Silicon Laboratories Inc. designs, manufactures and markets proprietary high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) for the wireless, wireline and optical communications industries. The Company initially focused its efforts on developing ICs for the personal computer modem market and is now applying its mixed-signal and communications expertise to the development of ICs for other high growth communications devices, such as wireless telephones and optical network applications. The Company's mixed-signal design engineers use standard complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology to create ICs that can reduce the cost, size and system power requirements of devices that the Company's customers sell to their end user customers
