I appreciate the honest answer ....but I am surprised you have never heard of the Hindu Kumba Mela , or ritual pilgrimage to the sacred river , happening now for 2300yrs . Last year a record was set for the largest gathering of humans in the world , assembled for a spiritual purpose . Nothing in Islam , Judaism or Christianity comes even close. And it is a preeminent question today though , this treatment of animals other living beings and the earth. That history of animal sacrifice is appalling of the Jews. When young I studied Christianity and then when older I did as you said ---> I did seek & went to the source . If you wish to know more of the Universal religion of Buddha , Hinduism...it is very simple: Do a net~search on the word---> "Ahimsa "... A crowning achievement of human beings for all time contained in only one word. You'll also find your true seed of Christianity & God there as well. Christianity has much to learn.
