He wrote the first draft of "The Declaration of Independence" and had Jefferson take credit. I consider him the real "Father of our country."

You really should read McCullough for a different take on Paine. And for a still more different take, Paine appears in British radical history, of course. E. P. Thompson has some nice material on him in his The Making of the English Working Class.
