agreed, one way or another clawhammer this year would be an achievement.

Joe, if the demo systems had a single DIMM populating the two slots, then it would have to be single channel. But if they had two DIMM's, I would almost guarantee that Clawhammer is already dual channel because it is easier to get a single DIMM system working than a double DIMM system.

Furthermore, the applications they demonstrated certainly didn't need more than 256M of memory. A single 256M or 512M DDR DIMM would have provided plenty enough memory. Why populate the motherboard with 512M or 1024M, when
1) It makes the demo less reliable and
2) The memory isn't needed
