I chose that scripture because Paul points to Christ and not himself. Anyway, check the correlation between what Christ said and what Paul preached.

Matthew 11 (Jesus Christ)
28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Romans 13 (Paul)
14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

To go a step further, we see that Christ claimed to do nothing on His own accord but only what the Father tells Him.

John 8:28 (Jesus Christ)
So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am [the one I claim to be] and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.

Therefore, we have an example of how to live our lives. I have Christ as my example and I do nothing on my own but speak just what Christ has taught me.

As Paul states in 1 Corinthians 2:16
"For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

Nothing Paul taught was new. It was what Christ lived , breathed and taught the disciples. Paul was used to reach the Gentiles and share with them the good news of Christ, our (yours and mine) Messiah
