From interview of the Biotech industry association:

"Do you think biotech firms should be forced to make public their interactions with the FDA?

Feldbaum: Communication between companies and the FDA needs to be candid and detailed, and that can't happen in a public environment. There must be some degree of confidentiality."

Clear fact, companies want CONTROL of the information, and I think is fair (but, there must be a mechanism to insure honesty, and it is not available yet).

Then the spin from same guy:

"The biotech industry puts out more news -- good and bad -- than any other industry. There's more disclosure in our industry than in any I've seen."

Oh yes, He can go and regurgitate this spin cause He is accountable to no one about it, and no one will challenge this cause there is no use to it. How and when did he collect the information and analysis to back up his claim?
He never did and he does not need to cause it is interview filling stuff.
