Hi Harbie and Sprintcar -- If all the outstanding shares are in friendly hands as claimed then by definition the recent trading volume of the stock should be zero or near zero since you can't have any trades if there are no sellers.

So you will know if the story has merit when you check the volume of the stock when it is mentioned.

Simple as that.

Its not entirely impossible -- check out the insider ownership and trading volume of PNFT.

Regards,
Chris

get off your sprintbox. It happens and I would love to see what the NASD would do if they were watching it actually happen. As far as the "ticker" is concerned, you pick it.

EDIT - I absoluetely agree that naked shorting occurs but does a squeeze ever occur? I have seen many posts and stories on the "short squeeze". similar set ups to the one you are setting up. I am not saying that it doesnt happen but I have not seen it.

The short squeeze IMO tends to be more of a myth. I am asking in all seriousness if anyone can show me a true story - c/w symbol and time frame because I would like to research the incident for a book I may or may not write.

Thanks
