Hi nspolar,
The key difference between Japan and the US (or Canada for that matter) is immigration. I know it's a bit of a buggaboo in both our countries now but the bottom line is that immigration fuels growth. Japan remains a relatively closed society with few permanent newcomers. They are dying as a nation.....
