Thanks Joan. I'm getting along, considering that we've had a mere 3" of snow at the house (7800 ft. elev.) over the last 13 weeks. What's a ski bum to do? I spent January in Argentina catching up with family I hadn't seen for 30 years. Also got a sharp lesson in bloated debt structures gone awry, and many hours of fascination over the monetary chaos that now rules.

How've you been?

I'm down to a core position in ARLP. My coal positions are now spread over PVR, APL (a soon to be coal miner after what is basically a reverse acq.) and ARLP. I'm going to stick with the MLP's over the "C" Corp miners due to the 30%+ headstart that the tax laws currently afford them, which manifests itself in higher income than available with CNX.

Problem at EOT has also hit other gatherer/marketers, in that this activity requires lots of capital or credit. As capital markets become less accessible, these operations contract. Think I'll be sticking with the fee-based models for my energy MLPs for quite some time.

Regards,
