Oh, man, the place was great! We must have passed each other on the road, I left last Saturday morning (in a bus - <g>). I was in Whistler about 10 years ago in April, the village must have been 1/10 of what it is today, and it was wonderful. At that time there were literately crowds of Japanese skiers around (still in the early stages of their Bear market - g/ng). This time the crowd was heavily local and from Seattle.

Did have a few powder days. And I see I was right about the beer, there is something about it. All I can get my hands on now is by comparison undrinkable… ;-( And Vancouver seems like a great town.
